When it comes to designing aluminium aerosol cans, the artwork and the corresponding printing technology are usually the first priority, since the logos and lettering of the product and brand, the special colouring and other design elements of the corporate design must be optimally applied to the can. The size of the can and its shape also play an important role. Less of a focus, however, is usually on other design elements such as embossing techniques. The Turkish manufacturer Aryum, among others, has recently shown that embossing can give aluminium cans a very special character and a unique look. Embossing techniques give the can a special contour, emphasise the logo and brand, create additional value in the performance and give the can an appeal of luxury and exclusivity. In addition to the visual appearance, interesting haptic and tactile effects are also created. Aryum’s combined use of 360-degree embossing technology and 360-degree printing technology has opened the door for brands to create products in unique shapes and designs. Last but not least, the embossing technique offers another advantage: It prevents counterfeiting of a product. Thus, the integrity and uniqueness of the brand is preserved.
