The new “FOGG NEU” deodorant range embodies this idea, presenting itself as a refined and modern evolution of the iconic FOGG cans. The aluminium aerosol cans for this brand relaunch are produced by the Indian manufacturer Bharat Containers.
FOGG NEU marks a fresh chapter for the brand, introducing a cleaner, more contemporary look with a clever twist: the design creates the illusion that the old label has been torn away to reveal a bold new identity beneath.
This “torn paper” effect is not just a creative flourish — it is a technical challenge that had to be executed flawlessly using the dry offset printing process, in which all colours are applied in a single pass. While the artwork itself is not complex in terms of colour separation, the real challenge lay in replicating the fibrous texture and irregular edges of torn paper consistently across every can. Even the slightest misalignment could disrupt the illusion, demanding exceptional precision and craftsmanship.
The result is a design reproduced with remarkable consistency, turning a simple concept into a powerful visual statement. These aluminium cans prove that with the right combination of creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail, even a minimalistic idea can make a maximum impact.
