Successful Combination of Sustainability and Unique Artwork

The new LINHARDT 150 ml aerosol cans for the relaunch of Lornamead‘s CD deodorants are made with 17% lighter slugs consisting of a 100% PCR aluminium alloy with 0.3% virgin manganese. The PCR slugs are produced directly from the molten aluminium scrap without an energy-consuming second melting process. As a result, LINHARDT’s PCR slugs are characterized by the lowest carbon footprint of only 1.1 kg CO2e / kg aluminium. By using the lightweight PCR slugs instead of the previous virgin slugs, Lornamead saves 296.5 tonnes CO2e per million cans and in addition reduces the transport emissions thanks to the lighter cans. The new CD deo cans prove that sustainability does not necessarily come at the expense of outstanding designs. In addition to using 100% PCR aluminium and reducing the input weight, the relaunched cans come with a unique artwork featuring complex depictions of waterlilies with soft colour gradations. The watercolour-like style of the flowers in the artwork is enhanced by an elegant semi-matte finish.
