Bumble & Bumble Strong Finish hairspray from Estée Lauder is an innovative product: a blend of resin and transformers that delivers a strong, long-lasting hold with a modern finish. The aluminium can for this product was produced by US manufacturer CCL Container and was designed to stand out on store and studio shelves. The canmaker incorporated split-well ink technologies to deliver smooth colour transitions, colour saturation was enhanced with an overall screen, and selective edging around the text was carried out in order to maintain legibility of the print on the front and back panel. The result is brilliant and the appearance of the can is absolutely fascinating: an extraordinary colour combination in powerful shimmering tones on an elegant dark background, with filigree patterns and colour transitions. A design that irresistibly captures the observer’s attention.
