Fascinating design and sustainable packaging go very well together

DFNS, the leader in shoe and clothing care founded in the Netherlands in 2019, and global sports brand adidas are developing a new exclusive line of care products with a focus on sustainability. For this ambitious project, DFNS worked with German aerosol can manufacturer Tubex to produce this unique aluminum can for athletic apparel and footwear care products. With a strong focus on sustainability, the can has an impressive 95% recycled aluminium content and utilizes the alu-air© technology, making it the world’s first air-powered dispenser. Developed to address plastic waste and reduce carbon emissions, this new technology dispenses pure product at high pressure without propellants, significantly lowering CO₂ emissions compared to traditional aerosols. These sustainability features help adidas not only reach their ambitious sustainability goals but also demonstrate that forward-looking sustainable solutions and excellent design can indeed go hand in hand.
