Beiersdorf’s NIVEA MEN Shaving Gels are packed in aluminium cans produced by Nussbaum Matzingen AG from Switzerland. For the production of these aerosol cans the Swiss packaging specialist uses exclusively post-consumer recycled aluminium made from 100% beverage can waste. No primary aluminium or industrial waste - such as production cuttings, litho plates or cable wires - are added to this special alloy, which comes with a material reduction at the same time. Aerosol cans made from 100% Nucan-PCR aluminium impress with extremely low CO2-emissions. 96% of CO2 is saved when using Nucan-PCR material instead of primary aluminium. A can-to-can upcycling at its best. A climate-friendly aerosol valve system is completing this sustainable and innovative packaging. This sustainability message is pointed out to the consumer in the upper part of the can in a discreet but nevertheless eye-catching green stripe that blends harmoniously into the design. The other related consumer information is also clearly visible, but does not interfere with the coherent design and appearance of the brand. Sustainability and an appealing look go hand in hand.
